SprayCapture is now live at Magna International, DecoStar Industries in Carrollton, Georgia.
Getting there took a full weekend of work. Thank you to the Magna team for putting in both Saturday and Sunday to get the system up and running, it made for a smooth startup and a genuinely good collaboration.
The next step is correlating robot-to-robot spray performance within each zone, so atomizer output stays consistent across the line. On top of that, the team is putting process control in place to keep those correlated settings stable over time, building a repeatable, data-driven foundation for troubleshooting and future improvements.
That shift matters because it replaces subjective spray evaluations with objective measurement data. The team can now verify spray performance directly, catch process drift early, and keep application quality consistent across the paint process, rather than relying on judgment calls.
