19 October 2026
On October 13, 2026, SprayVision presented alongside Scout Motors at CARES Americas 2026 in Rochester, Michigan. The joint presentation, titled “AI-Driven Digital Twins for Automotive Robotic Paint Systems,” was delivered by Drew Heemstra, General Manager, North America at SprayVision, and Marc Allouard, Paint Engineering Manager at Scout Motors.
During the presentation, the two teams discussed how they are working together to bring greater predictability and data-driven decision-making into automotive paint operations.
The session focused on how SprayVision can be integrated into paint process development, using objective spray data to better understand the actual output of the application system.
Topics covered during the presentation included:
- Applicator characterization
- Robot and process validation
- Behavior modeling and simulation
- Process optimization
- Film build prediction
- Quality validation
The discussion also explored how better measurement and modeling can reduce uncertainty throughout the paint process. By connecting what is physically happening at the applicator with simulation and process data, manufacturers can move toward paint operations that are more predictable, repeatable, and efficient.
Scout Motors provided real-world context for the discussion, while SprayVision shared the technology and methodology being used to support this work.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at CARES Americas 2026!
